Saying Goodbye

I really, really, really hate goodbyes.

Sister Cochrane found out on Monday that she was being transferred to another area in the mission. They let the missionaries know on Mondays, then they leave on Wednesdays. So Tuesday night her and her companion came to our house for dinner. I emailed her sister and asked for the pizza recipe that Sis Cochrane loves so I could make that for her and it actually turned out delicious. I actually made pizza crust successfully. :)

After dinner we had a fun evening of "Around the World Ping Pong" and Hailey teaching Sis Cochrane how to do the worm...hilarious!!!!! Courtney also took pictures for St. Patrick's Day and Easter...Sis Cochrane's tradition for every holiday to send to friends & family. For her Easter pictures she used Nick's new baby chicks.

I dreaded the night coming to an end because I have grown quite attached to Sis Cochrane. It was hard enough to say goodbye to Sis Dahl 6 weeks ago, and now Sis Cochrane is leaving me to. Needless to say, tears were shed...by me...and I had to hug her more than once before I let her walk out my door. I haven't heard yet where she was transferred to, but hopefully it's close. That way, she can come back for a couple of baptisms that are coming up...and that means she can pop in and say hello. :)

Nick and Sis Cochrane looking very awkward...haha.

She has made such a difference in my children's lives and for that I will forever be grateful!
She also made such a difference in Courtney's life and Bryson trusted her enough to turn Courtney's gospel lessons over to her. Courtney didn't quite appreciate her at first, however, because she asked very direct questions about why Court wouldn't pray out loud. She committed Court to saying the closing prayer at the last lesson before baptism and she did it. Sis Cochrane shares the gospel with boldness. :) Her and Courtney have since become very good friends and have plans to live together in Provo when Sis Cochrane comes back to BYU after her mission.
Last night after she left, I started noticing Sis Cochrane faces all over the pictures around the house. I LOVE IT!!!! :)

I love the missionaries and in particular I have loved Sis Cochrane and Sis Dahl. My heart hurts though to say goodbye because they have become such a part of our family. I hope to see them both after their missions and feel like friendships have been formed for life.
