Two weeks before this race, Brian came home from a run, told me it felt awful and questioned whether he was even going to run the marathon. Fast forward two weeks and on Saturday morning, June 9th the kids and I watched him cross the finish line of Marathon #5. Truly a testament of sheer will of which he has always been a perfect example!
After his marathon last year he told me he would never run another one...I've heard that before so I asked for it in writing...which I got! When I could tell the "marathon itch" was coming on, I pulled out the paper he signed and slid it across the desk. He laughed. This year after the marathon instead of saying "I'll never do this again" he said, "I hope I never want to run another one of these." :) Carefully chosen words. :)
Very proud of my man!!! :)
