Nick accidentally fell asleep before homecoming and woke up when his friends got there to pick him up. Ya gotta love friends who will literally get you dressed for a dance. :)

Happy Anniversary to Us!
Brian and I decided to celebrate our 19th anniversary a little differently this year.We went and got sandwiches, chips and cookies from Gandolfo's and a drink from Slurp and headed up the canyon. We took our soccer chairs and found a place by river in Canyon Glen and ate our food and chatted.
After we ate we took a walk along the path and chatted some more.
It was perfect!

SURPRISE
Courtney sent me a text at work today asking if we had anything planned for Family Home Evening tonight. She suggested we get together and play some games which sounded great to me! She even managed to get Nick there which is a miracle!
As I was getting some games out, I noticed they put a box of cupcakes on the table and I thought that was so sweet of them to bring treats. Nick even grabbed a cupcake and starting eating. Then I noticed a funny look on their faces and got suspicious of the cupcakes. I asked them if they were announcing something and they told me to read the lid of the box.
THEY ARE PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!!!

Brave People
We had the Ackley's over tonight and some of them actually held Nick's giant snake.
Crazy people! :)

50th Anniversary
It was mom and dad's 50th anniversary...WOW that's a big one!!!!!
The neat thing is that Jenny was in town for the party. The sad thing is that I didn't get a picture of mom and dad together before dad went back to his room.
We had a hard time getting Brian and Dave to cooperate with a picture...and Dave looks pretty darn excited in the 2nd picture...hahaha.
I'm sure thankful for my parents and all that they've done for us throughout the years. I love them for who they are and the example they are to me and to my children.

1st Place
Nick's friends all have show dogs and they needed an extra person to show one of the dogs at a big show this month. So they paid for Nick to have a couple of private lessons on how to show a dog and Nick KILLED IT!
If you're going to skip school to show a dog, might as well take 1st Place! :)

Visiting My Boy at Work
We don't see much of Nick these days so I decided to pop in on him at the farm. He took me for a little ride on the carriage and I gotta be honest, I was pretty terrified. I really needed a seatbelt to make me feel better...haha. I felt like my life was in this horses hands (or hooves). :) But really my life was in Nick's competent hands and I'm still alive so he did very well! :)
