Another fun filled Saturday of basketball last weekend but unfortunately neither one of our teams came away with a win. Hailey did score 6 points in her game and Nick had 3 or 4 steals and some good rebounds. It's good the kids enjoy playing basketball but I know Nick is REALLY ready to actually WIN a game. It's been awhile. :)
Nick was rarely on my side of the court so he wasn't very accommodating for my picture taking. :)

Basketball Season
Basketball season has begun and the kids are happy about that. I think this is both Nick and Hailey's favorite sport right now and they look forward to both practices and games. Unfortunately last Saturday they had their games at the exact same time so Brian went with Nick...since he's the coach of Nick's team...and I went with Hailey. So the pictures are all of Hailey this week...I'll post some of Nick next time. :)
Hailey taking a shot.
There are definitely advantages to being so tall...look at the two girls on her right and left trying to guard her. :)

Furry Friends for the Week
My sister in law and her family have headed off to sunny Florida for the week and we get to pet sit for them which THRILLS my kids. How they became animal lovers is a mystery to me since I have really never been one, but it really is fun to see how excited they are about all the little animals in their lives. :)
This week we're the proud pet sitters of two of the hairiest little guinea pigs you've ever seen. One is named Winkie and we have no idea what the other ones name is (somehow we missed that) but Nick named him "cow" for the week since he looks like a cow (the colors anyway).

Happy New Year
We had a fun day yesterday to close out 2010. Nick bought new skis with Christmas money & money he's been saving so he is excited to hit the slopes today. Brian took him up to Sundance today along with his friend Briggs & Bryson. I just got a text that it's "negative degrees" up there so they will probably come home frozen but I'm sure it'll have been worth it. :) Smart Brian is in the lodge sipping on hot chocolate and working on his business plan for the year. :)
We hit the hills at Soldier Hollow yesterday for a little tubing. It was snowing when we started and FREEZING cold but it was a lot of fun. It's really the only way to tube in my opinion because you get to sit in your tube and relax as a machine is pulling you up the hill. :)
