Today I am thankful for "experts". Those people who have put in the time to become an expert at something and then have the ability to share their knowledge or skill with the rest of us. For example, the kids and I took a golf lesson this week and our instructor was awesome. He has spent his entire life learning and practicing the game of golf and has made a career out of helping others learn and perfect their game. With just a few simple things...posture & grip he had Nick and I hitting the ball consistently where we wanted it to go. It came a little harder for Hailey but I was thankful for her good attitude throughout the lesson and her patience with herself as she tried.
Other "experts" I am thankful for this week is the doctor who operated on my brother yesterday and the doctors who took care of Jodi Orgill Brown (the woman I posted about a few weeks ago). Because of their expertise both of these people are on the road to recovery and had the confidence they were in good hands. Because of the expertise of Jodi's doctors, an "inoperable" brain tumor was operated on and mostly removed and she retained some of the hearing in her ear that could've been lost completely had she not had an "expert".
So for everyone who is putting in seemingly endless hours learning something they are passionate about and learning how to share their expertise with others...here's to you!!!! :)
