Trip to Dallas

Well it's taken me so long to write this post that it's all old news now...but we had a GREAT time in Dallas last weekend with Dave & Marci. From dinner in the "Papa" district (all the restaurants in that area started with "Papa"...our restaurant was Papasitos or something like that) to touring the 6th Floor Museum with all the Kennedy pictures, films, memorabilia, etc. Of course the highlight of the trip was THE GAME. #20 ranked BYU vs. #3 ranked Oklahoma. I found out at breakfast before the game that my brother and husband were predicting pretty much a blowout with BYU losing...WHAT???? And we spent all this money to get down here for a BLOWOUT??? They told me it was just going to be neat to see the new 1.2 billion dollar Dallas Cowboy Stadium...which WAS impressive...but I was still hoping for a better showing from BYU then they were predicting. And what a game it was!!! For those of you who have not had a chance to turn on the TV or read a newspaper in the last week, or just simply don't care about sports and tune out when anything sports related comes on...WE WON!!!! We all cheered like maniacs throughout the whole game and left with a euphoria that only comes from lack of oxygen from screaming so much for 3 1/2 hours straight.

Thanks again Dave & Marci for inviting us and for the awesome tickets!! Great game, great company, and great laughs (unfortunately from some struggles the cheerleaders were having...it's gotta hurt taking a foot to the head repeatedly)!

Dinner at Papasitos
If you look closely you'll see an X on the street in between Dave and Brian...that's where the 2nd shot hit Pres. Kennedy.

We were pretty excited when we saw our seats were this close to the field!

The 4 of us.

The CATCH for the winning touchdown!!!!!

The final score...WAHOOOOOOOO

Nobody wanted to leave after the game...we stayed and all celebrated together until the event staff started shooing people out of the building.

  2. What a good set-up by Bryan--to plant the seed that BYU would probably lose. Makes the win sweeter. I loved seeing Dave in your photos. I haven't seen him in at least 12 years. Your best line, for me, in this post was this one:

"...and left with a euphoria that only comes from lack of oxygen from screaming so much for 3 1/2 hours straight."
